I’ve been using the new Windows Live Messenger 2009 since it was available as a beta.
In this version there is a bug with the display pictures. It doesn’t remember the size you selected.
It is a known bug, but still, in the final release, it’s still there !

For now, I just hide the display pictures, as they take too much space in the “medium” setting (How big would “Large” be?).
But even with small display pictures, there is a lot of wasted space.

The reason for this post is that I made a simple redesign of the layout, using the small display pictures.

So, what do you think? Should the Messenger developer team change their layout?

edit: Due to request I’ve added a possible screen when used with a webcam.
